Only one literary work falls outside the scope of his fantasy novels and the Icelandic sagas – Poems, letters and memories of Philip Sidney Nairn. This was his first literary endeavour, a tribute to a deceased friend from college days, whose early death drove Eddison to put pen to paper to honour his friend’s memory.
